Dog boarding
We are a fully insured and licensed family business providing our very own bespoke perspective of dog boarding. We have a very small kennel facility in a purpose-built extension of our home. As a result we are able to provide tailor-made care for your dog or dogs whilst away, giving you peace of mind that whilst away or at work your dog is being cared for to the highest possible standard and following your normal routine.

Dog breeding
We are committed to ethical breeding and ensuring the highest standard of welfare possible for all of our dogs and puppies. Breeding only the best fully health tested dogs with fantastic temperaments ensures the best potential for each puppy, which will be matched to the ideal working or family home.

Home Services
If you prefer to keep your pet at home rather than taking them to a boarding facility there are a number of ways we can help. We can offer daytime or evening checks ranging from simply popping in sorting food, water and any cleaning requirements to tailor-made training and enrichment sessions. We can provide visits for a wide range of animals and can create bespoke pet visiting packages to suit your requirements.
Therapy dog sessions
Loki our eldest dog is a qualified therapy dog and has spent the last 2 years working with students to help improve confidence, build trust, reduce feelings of anxiety and stress to name just a few.

Give your pup the exercise and adventure they deserve with our professional dog walking services! Whether it's a leisurely stroll or an energy-burning hike, we tailor each walk to your dog's needs. With plenty of love, care, and attention, we ensure a safe and enjoyable experience every time.
Our Team
Mike has been around working gundogs for his entire life and as a family we have been dog owners for over 10 years. We understand that all dogs are different and endeavor to treat your dog not how we would treat them, but how you would - as no one knows them better than you!
Rachel (MSc Animal Behaviour, iPET Network Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid) who will be the primary carer for the dogs in our care, has always had a passion for animals. She has worked with a range of animals including dolphins, primates, reptiles and a range of small mammals. Her early career was spent as a primate keeper followed by time as an animal management lecturer. Following this Rachel set up her own tutoring business with the help of Vallavean’s inspiration Loki who in 2023 became a fully qualified therapy dog and has since assisted Rachel in tutoring home educated learners.
Following a move to the countryside we have been able to follow our dream and set up Vallavean Canine services. Where we endeavor to ensure that whilst you are at work, out or away you are comfortable and relaxed in the knowledge that your animals will be getting the dedicated and professional care they deserve.
